Après Persona 5 The Animation The Day Breakers sorti peu avant le jeu le 3 septembre 2016, Atlus a annoncé un anime Persona 5 de A-1 Pictures appelé Persona 5 the Animation. Il sera diffusé en 2018 au Japon. Le studio d’animation A-1 Pictures avait aussi travaillé sur les films Persona 3 et Persona 4: The Golden Animation
